Evergreen Tandem Club

Ride Together!

About image
The Evergreen Tandem Club supports tandem bicycling events throughout the Pacific Northwest.  Most events happen in the greater Seattle area but we have members and events in British Columbia, Idaho and Oregon. We have fun member-led rides, workshops and social events that appeal to those who ride and are interested in tandems at just about any level.

We do require a ride waiver form to be signed for every group ride, which should be provided by the ride leader or host, for riders to follow all bicycle safety rules and always wear helmets!

ETC Online

ETC dues are now $0.  Membership will be handled on the ETC RideWithGPS Club Page.  Just apply to join and once approved, you are a member.  With membership, you are able to navigate club routes using your phone or Garmin/GPS device.   Ride leaders (upon request)  will be given Route Manager privileges which provides you all the most advanced ride planning features like: heatmaps, points of interest, ride forking and splicing and much more.

We really want to have rides.  Any member can get authorization to post rides upon request.  Rides Chairman this year is Peter Barbee.   You can contact him at etcrides@gmail.com

Below is the list of events in the next 12 weeks.  The full calendar is on RideWithGPS

Guide to Posting a Ride

Hosting a Fabulous Ride

Let's get out and ride together!  Just create a route and post an event.  Permission to post rides is granted upon request.

Posting on Meetup.com

Posting an event on Meetup is easy, like filling out a form.  Meetup has an in depth article on Posting Events.  Be sure to announce your event to members, so they know it's time to RSVP.   Use "Event Comments" at the bottom of an event to communicate with people coming to the event down where it says "Start the Conversation".  Add a link to your route in your event.  If you want people with a free RideWithGPS account to navigate the route, see "Posting your Route to RideWItheGPS" below.

The Route

Getting a route is easier than ever.  Work in the ETC Route Library add the route to an event and make it available for navigation.  Go the the Route Library Help Page to learn how.  If that is too much or club helpers can create a route and or post the event for you.  Just email our helpers .

Ways to make a route

  1. Route Planner to create route (Routes 101, Using Heatmaps)
  2. Route Explore to find popular routes in the area (here is how
  3. Copy your Existing Routes to the ETC Club Library
  4. Record Your Ride - easiest route creation - Use this link to send the app to your phone

I have designed ETC club Jerseys through the Voler Custom Express program.  These are the same jerseys sold at the NWTR 2023.  Like the NWTR jersey,  I ordered "Classic" Jersey, which is a looser club fit.  The cost is $99 per jersey.  You can order any time, with 2 week production, and free shipping.

There is a discount of 5% for an order of 5+ Jerseys and a discount of 10% on 10+ Jerseys.  Go on Facebook and see if anyone else wants to get in on a group order.  With free shipping, it is worth paying full price for the convenience.  Other discounts you will find online don't apply to custom express orders
